A Morocco Travel Dreams Holiday

Day 1: Marrakech-Talouate – Ait Benhaddou-Ouarzazate:

 

Departure takes place from your riad in Marrakech. We head towards Ouarzazate , through the dizzying heights of Tizi- N-Tichka pass (2260m) in the High Atlas Mountains. From Marrakech to Ouarzazate, you will enjoy a snaky road, beautiful landscapes with different colours and the Berber villages along the way before arrival at Ouarzazate, the doorway to the Sahara desert. We will divert down a small road by the Atlas, passing by some beautiful landscapes. Stop for a while in one of the small villages to visit the locals and have tea with them. After your tea we will visit a very beautiful Kasbah in a old village called Talouete. Lunch will be in the same village. We will keep going to see the site called “Ait Benhaddou”.

This 1987 designated UNESCO world heritage ancient fortified Ksar (city) is an attractive site for tours and excursions departing from Marrakech. The Ait Benhaddou Kasbah is one popular film location and has served as a natural decoration for many movies which were shot in the area such as “Lawrence of Arabia and “Jesus of Nazareth” “Prince of Persia” and “Salmon Fishing in the Yemen”. Take a walk and cross the dried riverbed with your guide to discover Ait Benhaddou and dominate the Kasbahs once you get to the top of the hill. After your little hang out, we will get back to our car and immediately head to your hotel in Ouarzazate where you will have dinner.

 

Day 2: Ouarzazate- Skoura- Bouteghrar- Dades Gorges

 

Departure from the hotel after having a tasty local breakfast, we move to the cinema studio to make a visit for the institution that has been a perfect spot known as Studio Atlas. Completing your tour, an an hour out we will arrive to the village of Skoura. Upon our arrival a visit to the garden is a must do thing and have an understanding of the authentic berber way of life there. You will then have your own lunch. We will continue to Bouteghrar Valley, the different colours will make it very enjoyable. Taking a very scenic off-road for about 17 km we emerge by Dades Valley. There you will be welcomed with tea and enjoy a berber dinner with some music to relax.

 

Day 3: Dades Valley-Tinghir-Todra Gorges-Nkoub-Agdz


After breakfast, we go to Tinghir Gorges via the Imiter region. Upon arrival we will make a visit to the area. Passing through Alnif, we will go to Nkoub and there we can have lunch and enjoy the stunning view of the colorful Saghru Mountains. .We continue our way to the valley of Daraa , and if we are early, we can enjoy a little visit of the Kasbah of Tamnougalte with a local guide. This Kasbah is one of the prettiest fortified villages on the Daraa. Enjoy a stroll through the small gardens and villages of the area. Sunset will be nice on the top of the Kasbah with Berber tea. Dinner and accommodation for the night will be in an old Kasbah in the village with some berber banjo music.

 

Day 4 : Tamnougalt-Zagora-Tamgroute-El Mhamid -Chegaga Desert

Breakfast done, we will start our journey to Zagora, famous for the large palmaries and old Kasbahs. It is the last city in the south east of Morocco before the Chegaga dunes. Lunch will be there. We will make a stop to visit the Quranique old school and the museum to have an idea about the pottery of Tamgrout. After our interesting visit in Tamgroute, we proceed on to El M’hamid the new last village before the desert. We will have a little tea there to say “See you soon civilisation” before we start our adventure of 90 km of dunes and desert landscapes. We will arrive 2 hours before the sunset so you have the chance for a camel ride to bid good bye to the sun for the day in the beautiful big dunes of the Chegaga desert. Dinner, music, it will be a night filled with stars so prepare yourself with 100’s of wishes, and you can have a camel rid between the dunes of the desert

 

Day 5: Chegaga Desert-Lack Lriki-Foum-Zguid

After breakfast you can have a couple of hours walking between the dunes or enjoy the silence of the Sahara, we will then leave the desert by the river of Chegaga and we will make a stop the see where it was the Lack Lriki and the beautiful surrounding nature. Stop to drink a little tea with some nomads of the Chegaga desert and see how they are living, take some pictures with them and we will have lunch under the african trees in the middle of nowhere. We will continue until we arrive to our oasis where we can have a swimming pool with a cool view of the mountain. Traditional Moroccan meal and overnight in the same place.

 

Day 6 : Foum-Zguid-Taznakt-Taliwin-Taroudant-Sidi Ifni


After breakfast the way will take us this time by the sea from Taroudant to Agadir. We will comeback little by little to the civilization passing by the famous village with the atlas carpets, if you are interested we can make a little stop to know about the carpets, after that we will be in Taliwine ,the town of the Moroccan Saffron. It’s the best place to shop if you like to use Saffron in your kitchen. After lunch we will keep going to Taroudant, the little sister of Marrakech, with the small market and the different kind of the Argan products before we arrive to Sidi ifni, one of the most beautiful beaches of Morocco. We will stay at a lovely hotel with a view of the Atlantic ocean. If you like, we can take a walk before sunset towards the village, and have dinner in the village of the with the beautiful artistic colors of the little restaurants and the streets. Dinner will be out of your hotel this time.

 

Day 7 : Sidi Ifni


Your free day. It will be your day to do whatever you want , be at the beach ,take surf lessons ,swim…

 

Day 8 : Sidi Ifni -TIznit-Agadir-Sidi Kawki-Essouira

After our breakfast we will start our journey by going back to the north this time passing by Tiznit. Tiznit is famous for Silver. We continue on to Agadir, the princess of the south, a pretty city of Morocco. Spend most of the day by the banana village and another small Sous village. The stop this time will be in a small fishing berber village. Lunch will be here. In the afternoon, we will keep going in our way until we arrive to MOGADOR the old name of Essaouira city, and here will be the last city for today. Riad for the night.

 

Day 9 : Essouira


Your free day to chill out by the sea, enjoy its fresh offerings and calming views.

 

Day 10 : Essouira- Marrakech


After breakfast, at approximately 10.30am, we transfer you back to Imperial City of Marrakech.
